NEW CAF TRAINING AND INTEGRATED WORKING PROCESSES
Training in integrated working processes started in July 2006 and included Common Assessment Framework, Team around the Child and Lead Professional. Over the last two years, since the introduction of the electronic CAF (eCAF) system, we have been delivering training to practitioners from diverse agencies.
This training to date has predominantly focused on the use of the electronic system and how to navigate around it. However, we have identified a need to link CAF with the integrated working process and deliver this as an integrated package.
The integrated working training package comprises three half days from 9.00 until 12.30. The first two mornings cover the context and processes bulleted below. The third morning concentrates on how to use the electronic system.
- integrating CAF into existing processes and structures
- starting and reviewing CAFs
- what information to include on the CAF form (and where)
- information Sharing and consent
- referrals to hubs and panels
- links with Social Care, including the new Triage system
- integrated Working
- the role of Lead Professional
- the Team Around the Child
