Teen Partner Violence Campaign

The Government has recently launched a marketing campaign to tackle attitudes to violence in teenage relationships, as part of a long-term commitment to change public attitudes towards violence particularly against women and girls (though males can be victims too).

Recent NSPCC research showed that violence in teenage relationships is highly prevalent and that teenagers have surprisingly tolerant attitudes to violence in relationships.  Evidence also shows that coercive and controlling behaviour can escalate into both physical and sexual violence and lead to repeat instances.
