Stay Safe

Stay Safe

Stay safe when you play by following our guidelines

Tell your parent/carer where you are going when you go out

Always make sure that you get home at the time agreed with your parent/carer

You must always wear a helmet when you go out on your bike and take your cycling proficiency when you can

Internet surfing can be fun, but make sure that you are being safe by following these simple rules:

  • Agree rules with your parents about when you are allowed on the internet, how long for and what sites
  • Not everyone tells the truth online and not everyone is who they say they are
  • If anything you see on the internet makes you uncomfortable and you do not like it, leave straight away and tell your parent/carer
  • Keep your personal details secret.  Never tell anyone your name, address, phone number or password
  • Internet piracy is a crime.  Downloading is easy, but make sure that you are allowed to do it.  Being under 18 does not mean that this is not a crime

Never play with electricity

Green Cross Code - Stop, Look, Listen - the essential rules for staying safe near roads

Stranger Danger

  • Never go anywhere with a stranger
  • Never take things from a stranger
  • Never get in a car with a stranger
  • Never go off on your own
  • If someone scares you, YELL, tell them NO or STOP - go home as quick as you can.  If you cannot go home go somewhere you know will be safe
  • Tell your parent or carer what has happened

Always make sure that you swim in safe places and not in lakes or rivers unless you have an adult with you and they say it is OK

Fire is dangerous and is not something you should ever play with

Everyone has the right to feel safe and secure so go out and have fun but make it safe
